Muhammad Fauzi Ramadhan was only 4 days old when his fight for life began. At birth, he didn’t cry, and his breathing was weak. His tiny body was rushed straight to the NICU, where he stayed for a month.

His mother, Yanny, barely had time to hold her newborn before witnessing him convulsing, vomiting up to eight times, and gasping for air. Doctors diagnosed baby Fauzi with hydrocephalus, a condition where fluid accumulates in the brain, pressing on it and threatening his life. On the way to the provincial hospital, Fauzi vomited the entire trip.

Now, this fragile little boy survives with the help of an oxygen tube. He’s already undergone surgery to insert a shunt and continues to move in and out of the PICU as his condition remains unstable.

To keep Fauzi’s treatment going, his father, Mr. Irzal, had to sell their only motorcycle. He now borrows one just to continue working as a driver while taking turns caring for his wife and baby at the hospital. But hospital bills, medication, and daily needs keep piling up — and without help, Fauzi’s treatment could stop anytime.
