Those were the words of Arissa Sofea’s mother, Mrs. Jo, who was at a loss seeing her daughter fighting for her life.

At the age of just 7 months, Arissa’s life has not been as joyful as other children’s. While children her age grow up healthy, Arissa has been robbed of the opportunity to enjoy her childhood.

At only 2 months old, Arissa had undergone 2 major surgeries. She also had to be referred to two specialist hospitals for her heart and lung problems. Born with Down Syndrome, Arissa’s condition worsened when she developed a hole in her heart.

Doctors diagnosed Arissa with Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect (PMVSD) and Klebsiella Pneumonia.

Besides her heart, she also experienced difficulty in breathing due to pneumonia. Arissa frequently had fevers, often felt weak, and cried often.

Arissa Sofea has been admitted to the hospital since birth and continues to receive follow-up treatment until now.

Her father’s salary as a mall security guard is not enough to cover the medical costs and expenses for Arissa’s treatment.
