Nazwa was just coming home from school when she suddenly felt a burning pain in her back.

Terrified, her family rushed her to a hospital in Lampung. She was later referred to Jakarta, where doctors diagnosed her with spinal cord inflammation—a serious condition that could leave her permanently paralyzed if not treated immediately.

Her mother, Aprilia, brought Nazwa all the way to Jakarta, hoping for urgent care. But upon arrival, they were told Nazwa couldn’t be admitted yet. With no home, no job, and no support, Aprilia and Nazwa had no choice but to sleep in the hospital waiting area—cold, exhausted, and in pain.

“Mom… I’m tired. I want to go home. I want to rest…” —Nazwa whispered weakly through the pain.

Nazwa was supposed to start middle school, but now her dreams are on hold. Her mother fights alone, unable to afford the costly treatment and therapy Nazwa needs to recover.
