“Sometimes I feel like giving up, but God has called me to serve His people in this church. Even though my body is weak, I will continue to serve until He calls me home,” says Pastor Togap, a man whose devotion knows no bounds.

For the past 4 years, Pastor Togap has fought a relentless battle with his health. What began as kidney damage in 2020 soon led to the complication of a swollen heart by 2023.

Despite undergoing long-term treatments and taking numerous medications, the healing remains out of reach. His once strong body has become frail, and he can no longer stand for long without feeling weak and drained.

Yet, despite his suffering, Pastor Togap continues to lead the congregation. He delivers sermons and leads worship while seated, with every movement a testament to his unshakable faith and love for his church. The congregation is heartbroken, unable to help their beloved pastor. 

At the same time, their church is in urgent need of repairs. With limited funds, they’ve been unable to renovate, and parts of the roof have collapsed.

The members worry that the upcoming rainy season could flood the church, putting everyone at risk. The funds raised from their services are minimal, often less than Rp100,000 (approximately SGD 9), as most of the congregation are small farmers struggling to make ends meet.
