Since he was just 9 months old, little Muhammad Reyhan Alvian has been battling multiple life-threatening illnesses — meningitis, autoimmune disease, epilepsy, and pneumonia.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! His condition began with a sudden high fever and seizures. Despite years of hospital visits and medications, Reyhan’s health continues to deteriorate. The infection has reached his brain, causing inflammation and severe nerve damage. He now depends on a feeding tube (NGT) for nutrition and requires routine hospital admissions every month for autoimmune therapy.
Reyhan’s father, Muhammad Romadhon (31), works as a daily laborer at a wood factory, earning just enough for basic needs. His mother, Esti Mananik (28), stays home to care for Reyhan and his older sister, Maulidya (10). Most of their income goes toward Reyhan’s medical expenses — milk, medicine, transport to the hospital 26 km away, and equipment not covered by insurance.
Their hardest moment came when Reyhan suffered a 3-hour seizure and doctors told his mother, “Your son is in critical condition.” He was rushed to a distant hospital, placed in the PICU for 19 days, and lost nearly 5kg during treatment. Even after being discharged, he was readmitted just two days later due to breathing complications.
Today, Reyhan continues to fight courageously. Every month, he undergoes treatment to manage his autoimmune condition and prevent further organ damage. But the cost, around USD 9,000, is far beyond what his family can afford.
Please help Reyhan get the medical care he desperately needs. Your support can give him a chance at life.
