After a Fall During Wudu, 9-Year-Old Risma Battles Spinal TB Without Treatment
Fundraiser
Yayasan Alamanda is a non government organization who help people in need.

The sweet smile that once brightened her face has now faded—replaced by pain that relentlessly consumes her tiny body. What remains is unbearable suffering, and no one knows how long she can endure it.

For the past 10 months, Risma (9) has been confined to bed. Her spine protrudes, her body grows thinner by the day. She wasn’t born this way — it all began with a tragic accident that stole away her joy as a cheerful 4th grader.

It started when Risma slipped and fell in the bathroom while preparing to take her wudu before prayer. At first, she showed no signs of serious injury, but gradually her body weakened until she could no longer walk.

After medical examinations, doctors diagnosed her with Spinal Tuberculosis— a severe spinal infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Sadly, this poor child has never received proper medical treatment due to her family’s financial struggles.

Her father, Mr. Sape’i, works as a welding laborer with unstable income, while her mother, Mrs. Mariam, is a full-time housewife caring for the family.

To make matters worse, their health insurance has long been inactive, leaving them unable to afford hospital care. For months, Risma has only been treated with traditional massages, but the pain keeps returning. Sometimes she cries and refuses to go for treatment — likely traumatized by the experience.

Kind people, let’s come together to help Risma get the medical care she needs. No donation is too small — your kindness can give this little girl a chance to heal and smile again.
