At just 4 years old, Shilla suffers from fibrous dysplasia, a rare jaw disorder causing severe facial deformity. Her teeth often fall out, her gums bleed, and chewing causes intense pain.

Things took a turn for the worse when Shilla began having trouble breathing. Doctors had to perform a tracheostomy, inserting a tube through her neck so she could breathe.

Now, Shilla barely speaks, eats very little, and hides away—ashamed of her appearance and hurt by the mockery of others.

Her mother, a tissue seller, earns just $2.50 per day, barely enough for food. She carries Shilla from hospital to hospital, hoping for help. But the cost of a proper diagnosis and treatment is far beyond their reach.

Despite the pain, this mother keeps going—begging strangers to buy tissues so Shilla can have one more meal… and one more chance at healing.
