From the very first day he entered the world, baby Zaid has faced one heartbreaking trial after another. He was born with a congenital condition, HYDROCEPHALUS, a buildup of fluid in his brain.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! His situation grew even more tragic when his father walked away, leaving Zaid to fight for his life alone. Without surgery and intensive medical care, Zaid’s life is in danger every single second.
His mother, Debih, is doing everything she can. Selling fried snacks, working as a laundry laborer, even becoming an ojek (motorbike taxi) driver, but none of it is enough to afford Zaid’s treatment.
For years, Debih has been both Zaid’s mother and sole provider. Every day, she prepares fried snacks to sell, takes on laundry jobs, and rides passengers just to survive and gather money for Zaid’s care.
But tragically, Zaid’s condition continues to worsen and now requires urgent medical attention!!
Debih still remembers the day Zaid was born, she couldn’t even hold him in her arms because he was rushed to the ICU in critical condition. Throughout his young life, Zaid has fought for survival in the ICU and endured the pain of multiple surgeries.
The fluid in his brain keeps building up, making his head sink and deform over time.
Living in poverty, Debih often has no choice but to bring Zaid along while selling snacks in the street. She can’t leave him behind, and she can’t stop working, she does all of this in the hope of eventually affording the treatment that might save his life.
But no matter how hard she tries, the little income she earns is nowhere near enough. Zaid’s treatment requires hundreds of millions of rupiah, and Debih’s wages barely cover basic needs.
They are cornered by hardship, but Debih believes that God’s help is greater than any obstacle.
