Putting food on the table for my siblings, mom, and dad is my top priority.

Fahri (15), a first-year vocational school student, has to struggle to make a living by working as a street performer so he can eat and continue his education. For Fahri, this is the toughest choice he’s ever had to make, as he already spends his days selling snacks from his old bicycle.

“Even with the snack sales, it’s still not enough,” Fahri shares. “I often get chased away by security for causing a disturbance, but what else can I do? I can’t just give up.”

Fahri’s daily earnings are barely enough to cover his school fees. He’s constantly on the verge of being expelled from school due to unpaid or overdue payments.

His father, who works as an Indonesian street food vendor, also struggles to make a living. Despite the challenges, Fahri is determined to earn a degree and secure a stable job in the future.

Even between his time as a street clown, Fahri still finds time to study and complete his school assignments. Returning home late at night has become part of his daily routine.
