Muhammad Thoriq Akbar, 2 years and 3 months old, needs urgent medical help.
Thoriq was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and epilepsy since birth, requiring multiple surgeries to install a VP shunt to manage his condition. At only 2 years and 3 months, Thoriq has already undergone three surgeries, but his condition continues to worsen. His head continues to grow, and his doctors have advised a fourth surgery to revise the shunt, but his family cannot afford the costs.
His mother, Siti Sopiah, is a full-time caregiver, staying home to look after Thoriq. His father, Nandi Setiawan, is a day laborer with an unstable income, earning only enough to cover daily food expenses. Their financial struggles are overwhelming, and they have even had to sell their motorbike to afford Thoriq’s hospital visits.
Despite their best efforts, they are unable to afford the specialized treatment Thoriq needs, including the hospital visits, medications, and the special milk that is crucial for his condition. They are already burdened with the ongoing medical expenses for his treatments and operations, and with no stable income, they are now turning to the kindness of others to continue Thoriq’s care.
Thoriq’s parents are asking for your help.
With your support, they can cover the cost of the necessary surgery, hospital stays, medications, and ensure that Thoriq continues to receive the care he needs to survive.
Please donate and help Thoriq live a better, healthier life.
