Imagine spending your old age in the forest, all alone! This is the harsh reality that Grandpa Abdullah has endured for the past few years.

Living in a dilapidated shack without electricity, eating rice with salt repeatedly, and drinking murky water.

We were shocked to discover how Grandpa Abdullah could survive in such conditions. Living in a shack that looks more like a chicken coop, in the middle of the forest, with no mattress to sleep on.

When he needs water, he has to walk a long distance, and even then, the water is dirty. At night, the only light he has is a small lantern. But, as we found out, what truly hurts Grandpa isn’t the lack of basic comforts – it’s the loneliness.

Grandpa once had a family, a wife and children. Sadly, his marriage ended tragically, leaving him with a scar on his neck from his wife’s violent actions. After that, his wife and children abandoned him.

Now, the only thing Grandpa has left is the land inherited from his parents, where he built his shack from leftover materials. He survives by selling the vegetables he grows.

Unfortunately, Grandpa doesn’t always have vegetables to sell. He has to be extremely frugal just to survive. Forget about fixing his shack; sometimes, the only food he has is rice mixed with water to soften it.
