Since the crack of dawn, Grandpa Puji has been standing by the roadside, hoping for a customer. But the hours pass, and no one stops.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! With no other choice, he sets off on foot, walking 15 kilometers to earn less than a dollar selling ice cream, just enough to buy a small amount of rice. Every step is a struggle, but his determination to provide never fades.
Life hasn’t been easy for Grandpa Puji, who is 65 years old. Despite his limp, he struggles to sell his homemade ice cream. Under the scorching sun, he hopes for a chance to make a living.
However, the reality is far from easy. It takes him 3 days to sell all his ice creams. With a profit of less than a dollar per ice cream, it takes him a long time just to buy 1 kg of rice.
No wonder Grandpa Puji hasn’t eaten yet, even after a full day of selling. He often continues walking another 15 km with an empty stomach, pushing his 20 kg cart with his aching legs.
“I’ve almost fallen while pushing my cart because I hadn’t eaten since morning. My cart fell, but thankfully, the ice cream didn’t spill. No one helped me,” said Grandpa Puji.
His physical condition isn’t as strong as it used to be, and he sometimes has to rest on the sidewalk, wiping the sweat off his face and massaging his aching legs after walking several kilometers.
