At 70 years old, Grandpa Bambang is still struggling to make a living. Every day, he rides his worn-out bicycle from village to village, selling receipt books, invoices, and calendars—sometimes pedaling up to 15 km just to offer his goods.
Each receipt book sells for only 20 cents, yet buyers are rare. What makes it harder, he suffers from a chronic skin condition he’s had for 60 years. After every 3 km, the pain in his legs forces him to stop and rest before continuing.
Despite age and illness, Grandpa Bambang keeps working to support his wife at home. Some days, he earns nothing at all, even falling asleep by the roadside from sheer exhaustion while waiting for customers.
Donations collected through this fundraiser will not only help Grandpa Bambang but—with his consent—will also be shared with others in similar urgent need through Bina Mulia.
