At just 15 years old, Alit’s dreams have been put on hold.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! He lost his father at the age of 5. And just last year, tragedy struck again—Alit lost his right leg in a terrible motorcycle accident. His mother gave up everything, even selling their home and life savings, to try and save his leg. But the infection worsened, and doctors had no choice but to amputate.
Now, instead of being in school like his peers, Alit spends his days hopping on one leg, pushing a heavy cart to sell red bean ice just to survive. He walks up to 10 km a day without any crutches or prosthetic support—often collapsing from exhaustion.
Alit earns barely $1/day. It’s just enough to buy rice for his mother, a daily wage laborer who works only when called. Still, Alit hasn’t given up hope.
His biggest wish? To have a prosthetic leg and return to school—so he can build a better future and make his mother proud.
Dear #KindSouls, let’s help Alit stand tall again. Your support can give him back his dignity, education, and the life he deserves.
