Agnes was just beginning to enjoy her teenage years. Active in church and full of warmth, she loved helping others and serving her community. But all of that came to a halt when her body began showing strange symptoms late last year — starting with swelling across her face and persistent fatigue.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! She was eventually diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis. But what no one expected was how aggressive it would become. In just months, the infection spread beyond her lungs and began attacking her bones — especially her spine. The damage was so severe that her bones have started to crumble from the inside. She is now unable to walk, sit, or even eat without pain. When someone tries to help her move, she screams in agony.
Agnes was hospitalized for 3 months, but treatment was cut short when her family could no longer afford the bills. Her father works as an ojek (motorbike taxi) driver, earning barely enough to feed the family — let alone continue medical care. She now lies in bed at home, growing weaker every day. Even eating is a struggle: Agnes doesn’t chew anymore, letting her food sit in her mouth for hours.
Her journey to recovery will be long, and the cost of treatment is beyond what her family can bear. But without it, she risks permanent paralysis — or worse.
