Khalisa’s Critical Condition: 7 Serious Diseases and the Urgent Need for Treatment
Fundraiser
Ika Kartika is Khalisa’s mother

Khalisa Yumna Adzila is only 10 months old, yet she’s already battling more than most adults ever will. Born in a humble family, Khalisa suffers from seven life-threatening conditions: cerebral palsy, epilepsy, microcephaly, scoliosis, laryngomalacia, a congenital heart defect, and lung problems.

Just five days after birth, Khalisa began having seizures and turned yellow. Her bilirubin level shot up to 31, far above normal. At only 25 days old, she had to undergo emergency surgery and spent the next month in the NICU. Since then, her journey has been filled with hospital visits, pain, and constant monitoring.

Every day, Khalisa endures seizures, muscle stiffness, and difficulty breathing. Her mother and father—who earns just 2 million IDR per month as a village staff—have done everything they can. They sold their small business, household items, and even borrowed money just to keep Khalisa’s treatment going. Her special milk alone is expensive but necessary to help her gain weight and get proper nutrition.

Despite everything, Khalisa is a sweet, strong little girl. Her family calls her a miracle—tiny, but full of courage. Now, they are reaching out, hoping that kind hearts will help her continue the fight.

With your help, Khalisa can get the therapy, milk, and care she needs to survive.
