Wildan came into the world as a seemingly healthy baby. His parents were overjoyed, dreaming of watching him grow, laugh, and play. But just two weeks after his birth, their happiness turned into heartbreak. Wildan developed a high fever, became weak, and struggled to breathe. 

At first, doctors treated him for common illnesses, but nothing seemed to work. For five long months, Wildan was in and out of the hospital, his condition worsening each time. His parents watched helplessly as their baby boy became weaker. Then came the devastating news—Wildan was born with congenital heart disease. His little heart had holes that disrupted blood flow, making it harder for his body to get the oxygen it needed. Without immediate and continuous medical care, he wouldn’t survive.

His health rapidly declined. He could no longer breathe properly, and doctors had no choice but to place him on a ventilator. Since October 15, 2024, Wildan has been completely dependent on machines to keep him alive. He remains in the PICU, where his tiny body fights every single day. His parents cling to hope, but their financial situation is dire.

His mother, who used to work as a seamstress, had to quit her job to stay by his side. His father, a factory driver, was fired after taking too many days off to care for his son. Now, he works as a motorcycle taxi driver, earning only IDR 500,000 (SGD 43) per month—barely enough for food, let alone Wildan’s expensive treatment. They have lost everything, but they refuse to lose their son.
