Apan realized from a young age that he was different from others. Born without arms and legs, he grew up feeling inferior, believing his life would never be as fortunate as others’.

As he got older, things only got tougher. He lost his father—the very person who should have been responsible for him—forcing him to face the harsh reality of life.

“My mother had to sell our only house just to survive back then. I don’t have any relatives to turn to for help,” Apan shared.

At that time, he and his mother were left wandering with nowhere to go and no one to rely on. Until one kind-hearted person allowed them to temporarily stay in a small rental house.

Time passed, and despite being born without complete arms and legs, Apan gathered the courage to set aside his embarrassment and started selling iced tea.

This small job became his only way to survive, at least to cover daily expenses. “It’s not much, but it’s better than having no job at all,” Apan said as he carefully hold the 10 cents from his sales.

But just as he was trying to make ends meet, bad news struck—soon, the house they were staying in would be sold. Apan and his mother had no idea where they would go next.

It felt like they were reliving their past fears—homeless, with no place to stay and no one to ask for help. “I feel ashamed… as if I’m useless, letting my mother struggle all on her own,” Apan admitted sadly.

Being born with physical disabilities has never been easy. Apan faces many limitations and often struggles with self-doubt, but he refuses to give up.

#KindPeople, street vendors selling iced tea are often overlooked, yet they’re not seeking wealth—just trying to survive without being a burden to others. But right now, Apan isn’t just fighting to make a living—he’s fighting to keep himself and his mother from being evicted.

Let’s help ease Apan’s burden!
