Dear #KindPeople
This heartwarming story comes from an elderly blind couple who struggles to make a living by offering mobile massage services. Every day, Akong Yusak and Ama walk at least 5 kilometers. However, few people use their services, and they often return home empty-handed.
Now, Akong and Ama’s earnings never exceed 3 SGD, which is not enough to meet their daily needs. Sometimes, Akong willingly accepts whatever payment people offer for his massage services because he has no other choice—as long as he can return home with enough money to buy food.
They often face bitter experiences. When they approach one house after another, Akong and his wife are frequently rejected and even chased away. In such moments, they choose to sit by the roadside, offering their services to passersby.
Akong and Ama have almost no hope of surviving like this. They can only surrender to God, praying for good health so they can continue facing life’s trials together.
#KindPeople would you be their guardian angels?
