Introducing Our Dear Friends: They Are the Blind Children of the Elsafan Orphanage.

At Elsafan Orphanage, not only are the children visually impaired, but some also live with autism and speech disorders.
“Even though we have limited vision, we have dreams just like other children who can see.”
Take Fitri, for example. She has dual visual impairment and communication difficulties. By God’s grace, despite her limitations, Fitri can still sing beautifully.
The lingering impact of the pandemic has led many donors to withdraw their support. Yet, the orphanage continues its operations, struggling to make ends meet.
They strive through efforts like offering massage services and performing at events. These efforts are inspiring, as they prepare the children to face the outside world with confidence and competitiveness.
Unfortunately, the facilities at the orphanage are in disrepair. Leaks in multiple areas cause flooding on the ground floor when it rains, creating dire living conditions.
“We are cared for by Pastor Ritson Manyonyo, who teaches us to find blessings in everything. These blessings are the path to finding happiness, even though our eyes cannot see. Here, we are raised to be independent, knowledgeable, and skilled so that we are not taken advantage of by those with ill intentions.”
For us, nothing is impossible. Even though we cannot see the beauty with our eyes, we can feel it deeply with hearts full of love.
