In Bandung, more than 50 abandoned and neglected infants are struggling to survive. Some were left behind at birth, others surrendered due to extreme poverty, and a few were found in critical condition because of serious illnesses. These babies began their lives without the love, warmth, or presence of their own parents.

Yafim Orphanage was created to shelter these infants, children who were discarded, forgotten, or left with no one to return for them. Here, caregivers work tirelessly to provide milk, nutrition, medical care, and emotional warmth to babies who have never known a mother’s or father’s embrace.

But the challenges are overwhelming.

Yafim has no fixed donors, and every month the orphanage struggles to cover essential needs like milk, diapers, medicine, and special treatments for babies with health complications. Some infants cry for hours simply because the orphanage doesn’t have enough nutritional supplies to keep up with their needs.

“We are afraid these babies will suffer even more… Many of them have never seen their parents’ faces, never once felt their embrace,” a caregiver shared.

Despite their struggles, the caregivers hold onto hope, believing that compassionate people will step forward so these babies can continue receiving the care they desperately need.

For these infants, Yafim is their only chance at survival, safety, and love.
