For as long as I can remember, epilepsy has controlled my life. Every seizure brings danger—I have fallen into fire and boiling water, leaving my body covered in scars. The doctor says I need regular treatment, but my family cannot afford the continuous hospital bills. I long to be healthy again, but is there any hope for me?

The journey to the hospital is long and expensive, and my elderly parents, who are struggling farmers, have no means to cover the costs. Epilepsy forced me to quit school, even though I was a bright and diligent student. My father once sold everything valuable—livestock, household items—just to fund my hospital visits, but now, there is nothing left to sell.

I fear my parents will go through the same heartbreak again. My older brother suffered from epilepsy too, but he passed away last year because we couldn’t afford treatment. My parents still carry that deep regret, and I pray I won’t share the same fate.

If only I could receive regular medical care, maybe I could recover. But now, I have suffered another severe burn and need surgery. My parents are devastated—they can barely afford food, relying on the kindness of strangers at the hospital. If no one helps, they go hungry.

We also cannot afford the medicines not covered by BPJS. My mother once went to the pharmacy, only to return in tears because the medicine was too expensive. She could only pray.

Oh God, I just want to heal. If I can’t care for my parents, who will? My older sibling works far away, but his earnings are barely enough for himself. Please, have mercy on us.
