In a small village in Marang, Terengganu, 16-year-old Muhammad Zaim Zainal bin Abdullah has been fighting cancer since he was just 10 years old. What began as a small lump on his neck slowly turned into a life-altering illness that stole his childhood, strength, and independence. Years of treatment have left his body weak and scarred, causing him to withdraw from the world around him.
Zaim has endured surgery to remove the tumor, four cycles of chemotherapy, and 37 sessions of radiotherapy. Over time, his hearing and vision worsened, and eating became extremely painful as his throat narrowed and weakened. In October 2024, a sudden seizure changed everything. Zaim lost the ability to walk and now depends on a wheelchair. He can no longer eat normally and survives through a Ryles tube, receiving milk every three hours just to stay alive. His speech is also affected, leaving him struggling to communicate.
Despite these hardships, Zaim’s family continues to stand by him, traveling frequently to the hospital and doing everything they can to support his care. The rising cost of treatment, medical supplies, nutrition, and daily needs has placed immense financial pressure on the family.
#KindSouls, your support can help ease this burden and give Zaim a chance to continue his fight. Your contribution can help cover medical care, feeding supplies, hospital visits, and daily essentials. Even the smallest act of kindness can become hope for Zaim and his family.
